Stevens Auction Company has saved the best auction for last! We are delighted to announce the commission to offer at auction a select collection of antiques and furnishings from four, prominent old Southern estates, including contents from both a Baton Rouge estate of unprecedented provenance and from the antebellum Cedar Grove Mansion in Mississippi.

Some of the highlights of the Baton Rouge collection include hand-painted porcelains—Sevres and Old Paris—as well as exquisite china, magnificent sterling, beautiful works of art, to name only a few. However, the antiques and furnishings from all estates are in pristine condition and bidders will be offered a chance to own superior pieces of Americana, comprising Empire, Federal, Victorian and Rococo furnishings. We’ll only be putting forward the best.

The open house preview will be on Friday, December 30, 2011, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and again, beginning at 8:00 a.m. on auction day. Terms: Cash, All major credit cards or pre-approved check. All sales final with no warranty expressed or implied. Announcements made day of auction take precedence over all written material. A 12% Buyers Premium charged on the total purchase price, with a 2% discount for Cash, Business/Personal Checks, with proper I.D., or Wire Transfer. An 8% sales tax will be charged on all merchandise sold. The only exception is for those with a valid & verifiable state resale number. For out of state buyers: you must have a copy of your tax certificate or other proof that you are a tax-exempt business owner/agent. Not responsible for accidents.
