Stevens Auction Company will conclude its summer auction season with a once-in-a-lifetime auction. This auction will be unquestionably the best ever, a milestone auction, packed with investment quality antiques. Fittingly, it will be back in Aberdeen, where we shall have the privilege of offering the personal, private collection of Russell Cohron, legendary antique dealer.
Cohron is a second generation antique dealer who became a leading supplier to Morton M. Goldberg Auction Galleries of New Orleans, Louisiana for many years. Through all the years of dealing with fabulous and fantastic antiques, Cohron’s personal collection is c omprised of nothing but the best out of the best homes, hand-picked antiques kept for his pleasure and enjoyment. Currently, Cohron has sold his home in Greenwood, and he is downsizing his residence, thus the decision to sell his incredible, personal collection. Additionally, this antique auction extravaganza will contain antiques from two other prominent estates, one of which contains items from such magnificent furniture makers as Belter, Meeks, T. Brooks, and Mitchells & Rammelsberg, in addition to fine porcelains, brilliant glassware, and other wonderful antiques.
Reserved and special seating will be available for those interested, with advanced arrangements. Auction information and new images of items to be offered are continually updated on this website. The auction facility will be open for preview on Thursday, July 26, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Friday, July 27, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. through auction time. Items offered Friday evening shall include fine porcelains, brilliant glassware and other beautiful collectibles. Larger antique furniture and remaining glassware and porcelains will be offered Saturday, July 28. Refreshments will be available both days. Terms: Cash, All major credit cards or pre-approved check. All sales final with no warranty expressed or implied. Announcements made day of auction take precedence over all written material. A 10% Buyers Premium charged on the total purchase price. Not responsible for accidents.
